In an unusual case where two antilopes were killed and no satisfactory opinion was given by veterinary surgeon. This Institute was approached for expert opinion. On examination it was found that limbs were dismembered by sharp cut, neck was having antemortem sharp cut wound like Halal, there was a perforated lacerated entry and exit wound of bullet on left and right side, adjacent rib was fractured with periosteal ecchymosis indicating antemortem wound of gun shot in both the antilopes. Halal was observed indicating the culprit of a particular community.
On over all examination it was opined that the antelopes were killed by rifle and subsequently in antemortem condition Halal was done, thereafter, neck and limbs were separated from the body.
